Ms. Caitlyn Bray
Meet Ms. Caitlyn Bray
Welcome to the creative side of Marshall Academy! I am Caitlyn Bray, and I wear many hats here at MA—from leading our High School Art and Speech classes to coaching Varsity Cheer. I am a proud Patriot through and through, and it is a joy to serve the school that has been my home for so many years.
My Background and Experience
My history with Marshall Academy runs deep; I was a student here for 15 years before heading off to the "big ole" Delta State University for my college education.
Before returning home to MA, I spent time gaining valuable experience in the classroom, including a year with the Gifted program in Cleveland and teaching 4th Grade English at HLIS. I have now been back at Marshall Academy for four years, combining my love for education with my passion for design and school spirit.
My Educational Vision
My teaching philosophy is simple: I teach with heart, and I challenge with purpose. Whether we are exploring a new medium in the art studio, refining public speaking skills in speech class, or perfecting a routine on the sidelines, my goal is to push students to grow while ensuring they feel seen and supported.
My Life Outside of School
While I joke about whether I have a life outside of MA, my world is centered around my wonderful daughter, Delilah Jane. I am a lover of all things "eclectic" and "maximalist," which shows up in my hobbies and my home.
When I’m not at the school or a sporting event, you can find me:
- Being Creative: Working on "Art things" and exploring interior design.
- Exploring: Foraging for unique second-hand treasures and tending to my many plants.
- Connecting: Spending quality time with my friends.
- Learning: I have a deep interest in history and "science things."
My Interests
- Da Patz: I am a lifelong supporter of Marshall Academy athletics and spirit.
- Cheer: Leading our Varsity squad is more than a job; it’s a passion!
Contact Me
My door is always open to students, alumni, and parents. Whether you have questions about our art program or cheerleading please do not hesitate to reach out through the school office.
