Meet. Mr. Austin Thompson

Third Grade Teacher

Welcome to Third Grade! I am Austin Thompson, and I am honored to be a part of the Marshall Academy faculty. I am dedicated to fostering a classroom environment where every student feels empowered to reach their absolute highest potential.

My Background and Experience

My path to education began at Northeast Mississippi Community College. I then furthered my studies at Blue Mountain Christian University, where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

With three years of teaching experience, I have developed a deep passion for guiding young learners through these foundational years. My time in the classroom has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and the value of strong mentorship—qualities I strive to bring to my students every single day.

My Educational Vision

I believe in fostering a school environment that feels like a family—one that is supportive, encouraging, and rooted in community. My goal is to create a classroom setting where children feel safe to be themselves and are always welcomed to learn. I want every student who walks through my door to feel supported as they grow academically and personally.

My Life Outside of School

Family is at the center of my life. I live with my wife, and our household is kept lively by our three cats. When I am not at the school or attending extracurricular events, I enjoy dedicating time to my personal passions.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy:

• Cooking: Exploring new recipes and sharing meals with loved ones.
• Reading: Diving into new books and expanding my horizons.
• Family Time: Spending quality time at home with my wife and our cats.
