Meet Mrs. Donna Allred

Second Grade Teacher

Welcome to Second Grade! I am Donna Allred, and I am honored to be a part of the Marshall Academy elementary faculty. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and purposeful classroom where every student feels empowered to reach their absolute highest potential.

My Background and Experience

My educational journey led me to Blue Mountain College, where I graduated in 1996. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of serving students in the Marshall County School System and the Tupelo Public School District before finding my home here at Marshall Academy.

My years in the classroom have taught me that every child brings a unique spark to the school community. I strive to bring the lessons of teamwork and perseverance into my daily instruction, ensuring our students grow both academically and in character.

My Educational Vision

I believe in fostering a school environment that feels like a family—one that is supportive, appropriately challenging, and rooted in community. My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that while rules are essential for structure, the relationships I build with my students are far more important.

I encourage my students to understand that the biggest limitation on their education is not their inherent ability, but the effort they put into setting and attaining their academic goals. I want every student to feel encouraged to grow personally and academically every single day.

My Life Outside of School

Family and faith are at the center of my life. I am a dedicated vocalist and pianist in my church choir, and I cherish our "Friday Night Dinners" with my extended family. Marshall Academy is a true family affair for us; both of my children are MA graduates. My three grandchildren are truly my world.

When I am not at the school or attending extracurricular events, I enjoy:

  • Reading: Diving into new stories and expanding my horizons.
  • Handicrafts: Spending quiet time with needlepoint and cross-stitch.
  • Games: Meeting with friends to play Mahjong.
  • Family Time: Spending every moment I can with my grandchildren and loved ones.

Contact Me

My door is always open to students, parents, and faculty. If you have any questions, concerns, or if there is ever anything I can do to support your family’s experience at Marshall Academy, please do not hesitate to reach out. You can contact me through the school office at 662-252-3449.
