Meet Mrs. Mary Frances Thrash

Hello! I am Mary Frances Thrash. As an alumna of Marshall Academy myself, I am so excited to continue my career as an educator with the Patriot family!

My Education and Experience

I am a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi and a graduate of Marshall Academy. Before returning to MA to teach, I spent several years as a high school math teacher at Center Hill High School. It was there that I truly developed a passion for helping students build confidence and proficiency in mathematics.

My Life Outside of School

I am married to my husband, Devon, and together we are raising our two wonderful children: Vivian, who is navigating junior high here at Marshall Academy, and Drew, who is enjoying his elementary years with us as well. We are also active members of First Baptist Church Holly Springs, where we enjoy serving alongside our church family and being part of a faith-centered community.

When I am not teaching, you will find me staying active with my passions for barrel racing and team roping. My family and I spend much of our free time at the rodeo grounds—whether I am competing or cheering on my kids as they develop their own skills and love for the sport. There is nothing quite like the energy of a rodeo and the values it instills: hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

Being part of the Marshall Academy Patriot community as both an educator and a parent has been incredibly rewarding, and I am deeply committed to creating a positive, supportive learning environment for all my students.
