Meet Mrs. Patty Lusby

Business Manager / Bookkeeper

Welcome to Marshall Academy! I am Patty Lusby, and it is a privilege to serve as your Business Manager. I grew up just down the road in Abbeville, Mississippi, and have been a part of the Marshall Academy family for the past thirteen years. My role here has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to get to know so many of our parents and students.

My Background and Experience

Growing up so close to the University of Mississippi, I developed a lifelong love for the Ole Miss Rebels. I attended the university after high school and proudly received my bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss.

Following graduation, I married my husband, Joe, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. While he attended seminary, I spent three and a half years gaining valuable experience at the Arthur Young Accounting Firm. When we returned to Mississippi for my husband’s ministry, I dedicated my time to being a stay-at-home mother to my son and two daughters. Once my youngest started school, I returned to the workforce, spending 11 years at Greenfield School in Tennessee before joining the team here at MA.

My Educational Vision

I believe in fostering a school environment that feels like a family—one that is supportive and rooted in community. My goal is to ensure that the business and financial aspects of our school run smoothly so that our faculty can focus on helping students reach their absolute highest potential. Because we are a small school, I strive to maintain a relational approach, working closely with families to support their experience at Marshall Academy.

My Life Outside of School

My love for the Lord and my family are at the center of my life. Supporting my husband in his ministry keeps us very active within our community. I am also a proud grandmother to four beautiful granddaughters, with another grandbaby on the way! Because my three children live in three different states, I spend much of my time away from school traveling to keep up with my family and cherish our time together.
