Marshall Academy Patriot Baseball
The crack of the bat, the smell of fresh-cut grass, and the thrill of a walk-off win—welcome to Marshall Academy Patriot Baseball! If you love America’s pastime and are ready to compete at a high level, it is time to grab your glove and step up to the plate.
About Our Program The MA Patriot Baseball program is open to boys in grades 7 through 12, offering both Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Baseball is a game of skill, strategy, and perseverance. Our program is designed to develop well-rounded athletes who respect the rich traditions of the game while competing fiercely on the diamond. From our JV players learning the speed of high school baseball to our Varsity upperclassmen chasing a championship, every player is a vital part of our roster.
Elite Coaching We are incredibly proud to have our baseball program led by Head Coach Dustin Skelton. Coach Skelton brings an elite level of experience to Marshall Academy as a former catcher for Mississippi State University, where he competed on the biggest stage in college baseball—the College World Series! Having played at such a high caliber, Coach Skelton brings unparalleled baseball IQ, advanced technical instruction, and a winning mindset to our dugouts. He knows exactly what it takes to succeed at the next level and is dedicated to passing that knowledge on to our MA student-athletes.
Program Goals In Patriot Baseball, we believe that championships are won during practice. Our core program goals include:
-
Advanced Skill Development: Refining the essential mechanics of hitting, pitching, fielding, and high-level catching.
-
Baseball IQ: Teaching players how to think ahead of the pitch, understand situational baseball, and make smart decisions on the basepaths.
-
Mental Toughness: Baseball is a game of failure. We teach our young men how to handle adversity, shake off a strikeout or an error, and stay confident for the next play.
-
Brotherhood: Building a unified team where players constantly support one another, communicate on the field, and play for the name on the front of the jersey.
Take the Field! Whether you are an experienced travel-ball player or a younger athlete looking to develop your fundamentals under elite coaching, we want you on our team. We also invite our entire MA community to come out to the ballpark this spring, enjoy the sunshine, and loudly support our boys!
