Congratulations to Millie Teel, a rising senior at Marshall Academy. Millie has spent the week at Magnolia Girls State at the University of Mississippi. Magnolia Girls State is a prestigious leadership and citizenship program that provides young women the opportunity to learn about government, public service, and civic responsibility through hands-on experiences and leadership activities.
One of the highlights of the week was hearing from Lynn Fitch, Mississippi’s Attorney General and a proud Marshall Academy graduate. Millie had the opportunity to meet and Converse with Attorney General Fitch. It is always a special moment to see a current Marshall Academy student connect with one of our distinguished alumni.
Millie was also actively involved in the legislative process during the week. She proposed a bill that was debated on the floor and successfully passed, demonstrating the importance of leadership, preparation, and ability to work with others to address important issues. We are so proud of Millie for representing MA and look forward to all the great things ahead of her.
